Note added Nov. 1st. 2011: I have been intending to overhaul this page for YEARS, and while I'm still dragging my feet, I will add here at the top a list of music projects and links. I'll keep intact the archaic links to individual mp3 files. For anyone who wants those (last updated in 2006!) they're below this list!
Anyone reading this who is curious to hear more, email me at eulogycontact@hotmail.com and I will either send you a CDR, vinyl, or tape, or email you a zip file with mp3's of whatever you're into. Hopefully soon I'll be able to find time to reorganize all this without having to link to myspace profiles that haven't been updated in four years etc. Anyway...
As of the year 2011 I am involved in the following music projects --
HEX NINE is a band with my friend Marybeth Chew. We started playing in 2008 or so, her on bass, me on guitar/vox., and drum-machine DJX-5000 providing beats. As of 2010 our friend Tony Palumbo (who recorded our 2nd. CDR album) joined as synth beat-creator. Though we never check it anymore, you can hear some mp3's on OUR MYFACE PROFILE.
GEB THE GREAT CACKLER is a two-piece with Mandy Katz on violin/vox and me on guitar/vox. We also incorporate minimal percussion. We play both acoustic and amplified, depending on the situation. We have one full-length recording available on cassette or CD that comes packaged in a zine we made that has all the lyrics and illustrations for each song. It's called "Life In Prism." We also have a MYFACE PROFILE where you can sample our sounds. We also never check it, per the great myface abandonment, but it's good for archive.
ERODE AND DISAPPEAR is a two-piece band with Kevin Riley. Me and Kevin made our first band when I was 14 and he was 12! We formed this band in 2009. We also play together in Northern Liberties, a three-piece. For this one I play drums and sing, and Kevin plays bass and also sings but not as much. We have a slew of recordings available - a lot of split releases (on cassette and vinyl), and one full-length vinyl. We have A PROPER WEBSITE, so check it out!
NORTHERN LIBERTIES is the most long-running project I'm involved in, having formed in 2000. My brother Marc plays the drumset, I play percussion and sing, and Kevin plays bass and does sparse backing vocals on occasion. We don't play shows as often as we once did, but we still write and record and dust off the live show once in a blue moon, whenever we want to/can. Having been around for so many years we have a ton of recordings - five full lengths and a bunch of splits, on vinyl, CD, tape, you name it! We also have a PROPER WEBSITE!
ME & SEPH have a bunch of projects that we maintain simultaneously just for our own amusement, such as Baader-Tech, Kansas City Vampires, Kat Klix, Ghost & Garden Structure and more I can't even remember right now. The best thing I could find on the internet for this stuff was THIS MYSPACE with a little grab-bag of songs. Sometimes these projects are Seph with other people, such as Chiller, but a lot of them have contributions from me on keyboard, drums, and sometimes vocals.
AURIC DOVES OF AVALON/ETHERIC PHOENIX etc. are monikers for my solo stuff, mostly four-track cassette recorded, but sometimes more hi-fi. I have three full length recordings, one is a proper album recorded by Kevin on fancy equipment, and two are compilations of odd assorted recordings that accumulated over the course of years. An ancient time-capsule of a MYSPACE is all that exists online (besides the mp3's I put up here, as well), but it's better than nothing I guess.
MUCH MORE TO COME (at some point), thanks for your patience!

2.) Songs by THE VIVIAN GIRLS EXPERIENCE. These recordings represent a brand new genre of music known as lo-fi craft-pop. THE VIVIAN GIRLS EXPERIENCE are comprised of myself and ENID CROW. The music is intended as a soundtrack for crafts such as embroidery and is thematically related to the works of artist Henry Darger and his characters the Vivian girls.

We will soon have recordings reproduced with 25 songs total! Recorded between 2005/'06 AD.
As a special treat to visitors to my website who may be
interested in the Vivian Girls Experience songs, I am uploading five rare

5.) Songs by EULOGY. We were a group of friends who played music together from 1998 A.D. - 2003 A.D. We featured a wide array of instruments and musicians, but the main core of the group became myself on drums + voice and Joe Lotito on bass/cello and occasionally voice. The songs here are grouped chronologically, from our beginnings inside the oil drums of an abandoned oil refinery to our final recording at Inner Ear studios in Arlington, VA.
Old Eulogy review I came across recently. This is from Punk Planet issue #35 and is for the album "I Hear Voices":
"I am sure these guys do here voices. This is disturbing, silly and haunting. I would liken it to ones first day on a Psych ward. This band is really unique and original. I would call them experimental in the same vein as early Butthole Surfers, Helios Creed, Sockeye and Rudimentary Peni without sounding like any of those bands. This is very good stuff. The best thing I got this month. The art is noteworhty for its Nick Blinko like depravity. This is a totally DIY project from the 4-track recording (in unusual locales) to the art and staples. These people are AUDIO terrorists. The vocals drone (in a good way!) the drummer(s) are exceptional and everything (there's quite a bit) is inventive. This CD is over an hour long"! (Reviewed my "MY")

EULOGY mp3s:

14.) 9:04 (From THE SINKING OF THE NAVIGATOR recorded 2003 A.D. by Don Zientara and Eulogy)
Some "rare" Eulogy recordings -- not that the other ones are common, but these tracks were never "released" in any way, even on limited run CD-R's etc. They're songs or jams from practice tapes that for whatever reason got shuffled to the side. I added these songs for archival purposes on Wednesday, April 30th., 2008 A.D. Enjoy!
1.) DESIRES (Recorded sometime in 2002 A.D. This is a long jam with some semi-structured elements.)
2.) GOLDEN DAYS (Recorded in 2001 A.D., I think. The germ of a song that never made it all the way.)
3.) VOYAGER (This one is from '03 - a song abandoned due to the end of the band.)
4.) ORCHID BECAME TUMOR (Same deal as 'Voyager'. Mathy!)
5.) UNTITLED SONG (Another one from that tape. This was mostly written by one of the last guitar players we played with, Kevin James Holland.)
6.) 'FLESH' SEGWAY JAM FROM 'ORCHID BECAME TUMOR' (We had an idea to link these songs together, and it turned into a long, crazy jam.)

6.) Recordings by KAT KLIX. This was a project put together by myself and my friend Seph. I played keyboards and sang and he sang and wrote words. We performed in cat costumes and had a theme of sexxxiness and absurdity. Our stage names: "Shitty Kitty" and "Scat Kat". We last performed Halloween 2004 A.D. at C.O.D.E. These songs were recorded at the Catbox in 2002 A.D.
1.) BakaBaka
2.) Skimpy
3.) Banana Hole
4.) John-Boy, Creep
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
7.) Recordings by LICE. These songs were recorded in 1992 / 93 A.D. I played the drums in this band, Kevin played the guitar and sang and Daron "the Baron" played the bass. Tragically Daron died at age 18, just a few years after these recordings were made. Seven years later Kevin and myself would play together again in NORTHERN LIBERTIES (see above)... these songs were recorded in Darons garage/ basement by LICE.

1.) Undefined Mass
2.) Mutant Zebra
3.) Suction (Re-recorded as a Northern Liberties song eight years later)
4.) Mr. Sunshine
5.) Abysmal
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.) Songs by BLACK SKELETONS OF DEATH. This is myself on the drums, Seph on guitar and our friend Adam on vocals. Adam is a living legend and is the official King of Prussia. These songs were recorded at the Catbox by Black Skeletons Of Death in 2003 A.D.
1.) Break Me
4.) Rock It Down
6.) Tell Me
9.) A song by IMAGE 33 from their self titled CDR.... they invited to write lyrics and do guest vocals on this song, which already had the working title (as an instrumental) of "T.K.O.". I called the song "total kinetic organism". This was recorded in the summer of 2000 A.D., if my memory serves me well.

10.) Three songs by AVIARY III recorded in 2002 A.D. This band was an improvisational instrumental group comprised of myself on bass, Bile Green on guitar and Carmel on drums. We mainly played house shows in West Philly and occasionally ventured to other areas. The group was active from 2002 - 2004. We were born out of the scene at the Catbox house at the time as well as playing the Church Of Divine Energy often.
11.) Two "songs" by ONE RAT BRAIN recorded live at The Killtime in Philadelphia in 1996 AD. We were a performance art group with an emphasis on the performance -- this might sound a little more tolerable if you imagine us throwing the equipment against walls, throwing food..... or it might just sound the same. Either way this stands as an audio document of a moment in time that no one who was there will ever forget. As for the rest of the world.... they weren't there, so how would they know? Comprised on this recording of Bood, Broken, Aby, Ruthbeth, Mandy, Dan-Dan, George + several more whom I unfortunately can't remember at the moment.
2.) I'll Smash Through Your Head
12.) Recording from 1995 or '96 AD by Spastic Sexxx Abuse Moose which was myself on violin and my friend Brad Belman relating a weird dream he had about travelling through shortwave bands. Recorded at the Happy House Squat on Spring Garden St.
1.) Shortwave Avenue
